My heart is heavy hearing of the passing of my friend Karl he was one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. We served in the Air Force together at Myrtle Beach AFB in the 80s. I remember the first day I meet Karl and he had the biggest smile on his face I had ever seen. Just a beautiful person and Airman. We worked on the Flight Line together loading A10 Warthogs. I will miss him dearly. I was looking for him on facebook just to say hello to an old friend to find out he has went on to Glory to be with the Lord. My God Bless his family and keep you all in Perfect Peace. I lost my Brother in 2014 to a bad car accident and I know the pain of losing a Brother and Karl was a Brother to me while I served with him in the Air Force. He will be missed by a lot of people . He touched so many of us and always found the bright side of any situation. I know he is Flying High with the Angels because he was and Angel on earth. God Bless you family he always talked about his family and was proud of you all. My deepest condolences Johnnie K. Pope USAF Retired

Dear Womack family,

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Karl and I share the same name in memory of our both grandfather from Munich. I often met Karl when we were still kids together with his mother Jolande at our aunt Hanni's home. I will keep the memory alive and am very sorry I did not get the chance to see him once again as I planned to do this year. The family from Germany wishes all of you strength and consolation.
