I met Benny through work at Naval Avionics in the early to mid 1970s. I worked with him on a project in the mid 1970s. He was in a different branch at work than I was, but his desk was within 20 ft of mine and he was a real expert in his specific field. On the mid 1970s project we both worked on, I needed his help and he was outstanding in providing the help, expertise, and data that I needed. Sometimes there was a lot of time pressure, and he always got me what I needed. I believe he went out on a number of sea tests on aircraft carriers. I enjoyed talking to Benny. He was one of my friends at work as well as a colleague. He was always pleasant to talk to. I too went to MIT for the same graduate program a few years after Benny did, so we had some common experiences there. Our professors were the same people that figured out how to get us to the moon and back on the Apollo program. I also knew that Benny was involved in some church work.
