Renee Maria Pate Sims, 72, Indianapolis, IN passed away on April 14, 2023 in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on February 25,1951 in Pensacola, FL.
Survivors include, daughter, Adrienne LaChandra Thomas(Janoye Richards) and LaKeisha Michelle Jones.
Preceded in death by parents, John and Carrie McCorvey; grandparents, John and Bette McCorvey, Ralph and Gladys Baker; ex-husband, Benjamin Pate Jr.
Renee served in the US Army and Army Reserve where she was honorably discharged after 24 years of service. She was a member of the American Legion Post #249 and #495.
After retiring from the military, Renee continued public service as an LPN for many years. She liked fishing, traveling and always helped anyone.

She leaves behind special friend Darryl Ross and many cherished members of the Baker, Pate, and Sims family..
Military interment will be May 26, 2023 at 2:30PM at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL.
