Maranna Barber Obituary

Maranna A. (Gates) Barber, 84, Indianapolis, IN passed away on May 24, 2022 in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on December 31, 1937 in Greenfield, IN.

Survivors include son, Charles (Lori) Cunningham; daughters, Brenda Nemec, Joyretta (John) Williamson, and Cathalina Cunningham; 10 Grandchildren; many great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, Harvey and Katherine Gates; son David Cunningham; brothers, David and Donald Gates; sisters Rosita Vires and Wanda McCombs.

To her family she was the best mother in the world. Maranna was a member of the Upper Room Church. She loved gospel music as well as shopping and traveling. She loved traveling to Tennessee and visiting Pigeon Forge. 

Services will be held on May 28,2022 at 1:00pm at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel, 1444 W US HWY 52, Fountaintown, IN 46130 with visitation at 11:00am until the time of service at the mortuary. Officiating the service will be Pastor Randy Harrison.

Maranna loved hats in honor of her, please feel free to wear a hat at her service.
