Larry Vandivier Obituary

Larry D. Vandivier, 76, of Franklin, IN passed away July 22, 2020. Survivors include his sisters, Pansy Stevens, Dorothy Bolin, Joann Scholl; great niece, Cristy McTarsney and niece, Debra Vandivier, who he helped raise; nephews, Jamen Parks, Sherman Parks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Everett Vandivier; brothers, Harold Vandivier Sr. and Earl Vandivier; sisters, Geraldine Bundy, Pauline Spaw; nephew, Harold Vandivier Jr.; great great nieces, Heaven Leigh Conner, Lexie Nichole McTarsney.

Larry graduated from Franklin High School. He enjoyed taking care of his dogs and birds, basketball, coin collecting, wrestling and listening to old country music. He took care of his mother , Mildred, until the day she passed away. He also helped take care of his nieces and nephews, helping raise several of them. Larry was an introvert, but he was a sweet, gentle caring person that will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him.

Cristy, a niece he helped raise states that Larry always helped her with her homework, and helped her become one of the best basketball players on her school team. He was very smart and caring, and she will cherish the 13 years of amazing memories she has.
