Obituary
James W. Wallace, 85 of Indianapolis, IN passed away on April 3, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born November 17, 1937 in Burkesville, Kentucky to Jake M. Wallace and Effie M. Wallace(White).
James leaves behind his son James A. Wallace of Indianapolis; sister Betty Abel of Indianapolis; Niece Diana Samples and significant other Teresa Vannorman.
Preceded in death by his parents Jake and Effie Wallace; daughter, Mary Diane Southerland; brother Robert Wallace; sister Macy Crowder.
He was a truck driver for 32 plus years to which he retired. James loved bluegrass and gospel music, cowboy movies, people watching, telling stories, being a jokester, country drives, spending time with family and going to church.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 2:00PM at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Royster-Askin-Sandrock, 2310 W Washington St. Indianapolis, IN 46222 with visitation from 12:00PM until the time of service.
