1925 - 2021

Evelyn “Evvy” (Preske) Nurrenbern, 95, of Greenfield IN passed away peacefully in her sleep January 4, 2021 at Golden Living Center Brandywine IN. She was born on September 29, 1925 in Evansville IN to the late Carl Preske Sr and Francis A (Simon) Preske. 

Evvy worked for the Department of Navy during World War II and was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Sarasota FL. Evvy was a devoted wife and mother. She loved making crafts, being outside in the garden and spending time with family. 

Evvy was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, L. Jerome Nurrenbern and her brother, Carl Thomas Preske Jr. of Evansville IN. 

Evvy is survived by her brother, Larry Preske of Evansville IN; her son, Mark Nurrenbern of Shaw Air Force Base S.C.; and grandson, Jacob Nurrenbern of Farnham UK. She is also survived by her daughter, Joy (Nurrenbern) Pfingston; son-in-law, Dave Pfingston; grandchildren, Bryce and Brea Pfingston of New Palestine IN.
