Douglas MacArthur Forbes, 65, Greenfield, IN passed away February, 25, 2023 in Greenfield, IN. He was born on July 23, 1957 in Fort Campbell, KY.
Survivors include; spouse, Kerry Beth Forbes; sons, Bryan Forbes, Cameron Forbes, Allen Forbes (spouse Kelly); daughters, Ashley Haddix (spouse Andrew), Amanda Forbes, April Forbes; Sisters, Mildred Prather (husband Mike); Niece, Ashley Prather (spouse Matt); Nephews, Frank Prather, Blake Barrentine: Dog, Lulah (even though she is April's dog, you could always find her by his side, day or night).
Preceded in death by; father, Dennis Forbes; mother, Eva Forbes; son, Duncan Forbes; sister, Denise Barrentine; nephew, Brent Barrentine.
Doug was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served a mission in Holland in his twenties, and continued to devote time to the church in various positions throughout his lifetime. He spent much of his spare time keeping up with anything and everything related to politics. Over the years, he also enjoyed writing several books related to his religious beliefs and sharing the gospel to others online.
Service will be on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel, 1444 W US HWY 52, Fountaintown, IN 46130 with visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the mortuary. Officiating the service will be Bishop John Craig. Burial will be at Park Cemetery, Greenfield, IN.
