David Lee Huffaker

David Lee Huffaker, 64, Carmel, Indiana passed away on July 18, 2022 in Carmel, Indiana.  He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 4, 1958. 
Survivors include his son, Kyle Huffaker; daughter, Sheena (Charles) Mitchell; sisters, Linda (Mike)Clifton and Diana (Jon) Melin; brothers, Greg (Sarah) Huffaker and Daniel (Kenny Strickland) Huffaker; mother, Joanne Huffaker; four grandchildren, one uncle and 19 cousins. 
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Columbus and Faye Huffaker; maternal grandparents Leo and Margaret Suesz and his father Alan Huffaker.

David attended college at Ivy Tech, Baptist Bible College and Indiana Bible College.  He was retired and had been a forklift driver at the Target warehouse. He enjoyed playing ping pong and tennis.  He received many high school trophies for his tennis playing. David loved God and enjoyed being involved in church as the music and choir director.  He loved singing and playing the piano and organ.  David was a handy man!  He always tried fixing anything that was broken.  He liked working on cars and teaching his son all that he knew about them.  He enjoyed doing yard work and gardening.  David loved to go hiking at Turkey Run State Park.  He was a devoted, loving and caring father and grandfather. 

A Celebration of David's Life will be held at a later date that is yet to be determined.
