David L. Cox

David L Cox, 70 of Indianapolis passed away peacefully March 20, 2022 in Dunlap, TN. He was born on February 28, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN.

Survivors include wife, Tyna L. Cox; daughters, Angela Cox (Chris) Booe and Courtney (Lance) Brand; sister, Wilma Reading; brothers, Don (Jill) Cox and Ronald (Diane) Cox; 11 nieces & nephews; 6 grandchildren and his 2 cats.

Preceded in death by parents, William & Ruth Cox; brothers Francis Leon (Wydell) Cox, Robert L. Cox, William E. (Linda) Cox; brother in law, Claude Reading Jr.; grandson Brayton Michael Baker.

David was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in 1970.  He was drafted into the Army in 1973 where he earned the National Defense Service Award with Honorable Discharge in 1978 with Rank of Sergeant.  He earned an Associates degree in Electronics Technology from Ivy Tech, 1984.  David had a successful career with the Railroad for 31 years.  He was a proud member of the Hoosier Corvette Club.  David loved spending time with his grandkids.  He was an avid bowler, loved watching sports, auto racing and movies about aliens.

Service will be on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 5:00pm at Brookville Road Community Church 7480 US-52, New Palestine, IN 46163 with visitation from 3:00pm until the time of service. Officiating will be Pastor Paul Romoser.
