David Shane Brandenburg

David Shane Brandenburg, 46, of Indianapolis, IN passed away July 18, 2020. He was born in Indianapolis to parents Alice Faye (Scruggs) and David Earl Brandenburg. Survivors include his soulmate, Jennifer Samples; son, Steven Brandenburg; daughters, Jenna Brandenburg, Jessica Cook; stepson, Andrew Moore; sons-in-law, Zackory Jones, John Stokes; daughter-in-law, Destine Vaughn; father, David Brandenburg; sisters, Angel (Juan) Clay; Sharon (Brian) Glaser; brothers, Mark Brandenburg, Mike Ratcliff; grandchildren, Aaron, Aniya, Bella, Raegan, Emma; lots of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Faye (Scruggs) Brandenburg; grandparents, Dot and Tuffy Brandenburg, Edward and Lassie Scruggs.

David owned and operated at Brandenburg Custom Painting. He enjoyed making others smile, fishing, sports, poker and pranking his dad. Some of David’s favorite quotes are, “Jesus loves you,” “Here kitty kitty, Here kitty kitty” and “Fish on.”

Services will be held Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Royster-Askin-Sandrock Chapel, 2310 West Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46222. Visitation will be Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the mortuary. Officiating will be Pastor Tony Oliver.
