Bonnie Lee (Hunt) Cooksey

Bonnie Lee (Hunt) Cooksey, Age 92, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Morristown Manor.   She was born on February 25, 1928 to Anna Lee (Nolley) Hunt Brewer and Raymond Hunt.

Bonnie graduated from Morristown High School in 1946.  She retired from Target after 35 years of service.  She was a member of the Fountaintown Methodist Church and Women’s Society.  She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Tuesday night Bunco Club, Wednesday night Euchre Club and The Hancock Regional Hospital Volunteer Guild. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  

Bonnie is survived by her children, Phil (Karen) Cooksey of Arlington, David (Nancy) Cooksey of Finly, Gary (Tilda) Cooksey of Finly, Kevin Cooksey of New Palestine, Penny (Brian) Trowbridge of Indianapolis; stepdaughter; Marilyn Pierce and family; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister, Gloria (George) Burris of Morristown; sister-n-law, Imelda Brewer; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leroy Brewer and Doral Hunt; stepfather, Hubert Brewer; and 2 great grandsons, Scottie & Gage.

Services are private and there will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.

Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery, Morristown, IN.
