Willis was born to Van Douglass and Georgia Hardy, who preceded him in death. He is retired from Astro Paving, Inc.. He was a co-founder of Douglass Players Youth Basketball, and belonged to the Smoke Blowers CB Club. He is survived by his son, Willis Hardy, Jr., stepchildren Steve and Melissa Root; 1 granddaughter; 8 step-grandsons; brothers J. Kenneth Douglass, Thomas Hardy, Edgar Hardy, and Adrian Stodghill; sisters Beverly A. Douglass, Toni V. Douglass, Darleene E. Douglass, and Karen Edwards; stepmother Canary E. douglass; special friend Marva Hardy and Brenda.
