Vera Mae (Purcell) Short, 68, of Morristown, IN passed away September 1, 2018 in Morristown, IN.  She was born on July 25, 1950 in Shelbyville, IN, to parents Kenneth and Geneva Purcell. Survivors include husband, Charles Short; daughter, Melissa (Jason) Cross; sons, Christopher (Anita), Philip (Angie), and Timothy (Jenna) Short; sister, Rita Smith; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Paul Purcell and grandchildren, Ashely & Isaac.

S ervices will be on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 1:00pm. Viewing will be from 11:00am until the time of the service at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel, 1444 West US HWY 52, Fountaintown, IN 46130.  Officiating will be Earl and John Chestnut.

Burial will be at Asbury Cemetery, Morristown, IN.
