Tom "Tommy" Steven Swinford, 59 years, Knoxville, Tennessee passed away January 4, 2014. He was born on January 25, 1954 to parents, Henry Lowery and Eula Thersa Swinford in Indianapolis, IN. Tommy graduated from Warren Central High School and later studied at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana and Ball State University. Mr. Swinford was employed at General Motors in Anderson, IN.
He was a member of the United Automotive Workers Union, Local #663. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with family and friends and a movie buff.
He is proceeded in death by his parents and brother, James Herbert Swinford.
He is survived by his son, Curtis Swinford; daughter, Bonnie Swinford; sisters, Dorothy (Marshall)Vaughn, Janet(Keith) Brubaker and Diane(Ben) Smith; brothers, Frank (Dorene) Lowery, Michael (Pamela) Swinford and Paul David (Betty) Swinford; sister –in-law, Patricia Swinford; grandchild; Madalynn Marie Swinford; aunt, Betty Blythe; nieces, Natalie Brubaker, Brooks, Amber, Joy and Brenda ; nephews, Jamie Swinford, Brad, Nathan ,Ryan and Travis Smith Shane, David and Sam Lowery
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel from 1pm-2pm with service at 2:00pm at the Funeral Home with Minister Jimmy Thompson officiating.
