Stephen "Steve" Dodd

Stephen " Steve" Dodd , 75, of Shelbyville went to be with the Lord on Saturday October 30, 2021. He was born on January 7, 1946 to Paul and Charlotte (Scotton) Dodd.

Steve graduated from New Palestine High School in 1964. Steve married the love of his life Saundra (Rone) Dodd on March 8, 1969

Steve owned & operated Dodd Trenching, where he worked as an independent contractor. In his early years he worked on the family farm and then with his father at Paul Dodd Electric in New Palestine.

Steve was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 49 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time with his family and many friends. Steve could often be found splitting wood with his skid loader or mowing grass in the summertime. Steve was a unique character that always walked to the beat of his own drum.

Left to cherish Steve's memory is his Wife, Saundra. His children Carrie Dodd of New Palestine, Troy (Brooke) Dodd of New Palestine, and Amy (Luke Walker) Dodd of Fairland. His Grandchildren Austin (Kaylee) Dodd, Mya Walker, Noah Walker and Valerie Dodd. His Great Grandchild Layla Dodd. His 2 Nieces, 2 Nephews and many cousins.

Preceding him in death were his parents and sister Jaynee (Dodd) Bardonner.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 10:00am until 1:00pm at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church 3718 E. Blue Ridge Road, Shelbyville, IN.  Masonic Rites and Service will be at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
