Sammy Joe “Sambo” Bullington , 54 of Indianapolis, passed away at his home Saturday, June 8, 2013. He was born on April 16, 1959 in Indianapolis, son of JC and Haze(Wheeler) Bullington. Sam was an avid fisherman, a loyal friend, and dedicated family man. He was a hard worker, working two jobs to solely support his son. Sam was free hearted and would give anyone the shirt off his back. Sam was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his son, Dennis Bullington; daughter, Mandy, (Gabe) Fox; sisters, Louise Worley, Norma Boldt, Fannie Shepard and Lisa Fields; brothers, Jim, Bill, Arcy, David , Ronnie, John and Ricky Bullington; grandchildren, Gabbi and Sterling Fox. In addition to his parents, Sammy was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Bath. Service will be Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel, 1444 W. US Hwy 52, Fountaintown, IN with Brother Lonzo Wiggington officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2013 , at the Funeral Home.
