Ronnie Elsbury

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Elsbury on July 10, 2026 at the age of 62.

Ronnie was born on October 17, 1963 to the late John Edward, Sr., and Nina Lou (Phelps) Elsbury in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Ronnie worked for some time at Capital City as a fork lift operator. If you needed a helpful hand around the house or to mow the lawn, Ronnie was your man. He was very dependable. You could often catch him on a nice day out riding his bike or doing one of his favorite hobbies; collecting scrap metal.

Ronnie is survived by his sisters, Carla Foster, Deborah Howard, and Angel Appleman; brothers Jimmy Elsbury and Charles “Chucky” Appleman; aunt Thelma Phelps; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Elsbury, Sr., and Nina Appleman; step-father Charles “Chuck” Appleman; brothers John Elsbury, Jr., and Cecil Long.

He will be missed by all who knew him.
