Ronald "Ron" F. Gray
, 80, of New Palestine passed away Wednesday, March 12th, in Indianapolis.
Ron was born on October 1, 1933 in Indianapolis to the late Horace Fletcher Gray and Marie Carnicum. He was married to Sharon Jayne Bonn Gray for 53 years. Survivors: Wife; Sharon Gray, New Palestine, Sons; Ronald T. Gray, Indianapolis, James J. (Melanie) Gray, Indianapolis, Grandchildren; Courtney, Dakota, Jessica and Devin Gray. Preceded in death by parents and sisters; Patricia Ann Gray and Jackie Anderson and a granddaughter; Rena Elizabeth Gray. He Retired as Town Marshall of New Palestine after 30 years of service and worked as a Marion County Park Ranger, and also self-employed doing masonry and concrete work. Graduated from Arsenal Tech High School. Member of the New Palestine Masonic Lodge 404, New Palestine American Legion Post 182 and also was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. Services will be on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 5:00pm in Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel with Chaplain Phillip Bacon Officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until time of service at the mortuary. There will be a Masonic Service held at 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the Ron Gray Memorial Fund c/o Bell Mortuary. Military rites will be presented by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard.
