Ronald Allen Doran, known to his friends and family simply as Ron, passed away on January 6, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on July 10, 1964, in Beech Grove, Indiana, Ron lived a life full of laughter, family, and fast cars, particularly his beloved Corvettes. He spent many years working while taking care of a couple that treated him as if he were their son. His dedication and love were evident to all that knew and loved him.
Ron had a unique sense of humor and loved to share jokes with everyone he met. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his niece and nephews, often taking them out on adventures and teaching them his "rules" before letting them take a spin in his special cars. His playful spirit and guidance provided them with cherished memories.
Curiosity was at the heart of Ron's personality from a young age. His mother often joked that he wore out their encyclopedias, and as an adult, he channeled that same inquisitive nature by Googling everything under the sun. Ron loved the little things in life, preferring to enjoy each moment rather than worry about the big picture.
Ron is survived by his sisters Anna Mathews, Caralee (Wayne) Griffith; nephews, David (Kadie) Mathews, Chris (Kayla) Mathews and Alex Griffith; niece Tiffany (Brian) Inabnitt as well as several great nephews, great nieces and friends who will surely miss his jokes and unwavering support. He also leaves behind his doggie, Luna, who had him trained very well!
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel, 1444 W US HWY 52, Fountaintown, Indiana, 46130. with visitation starting at 12:00 pm until the time of service at the mortuary.
