Robert Eugene Phelps

Robert Eugene Phelps , 64, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away May 19, 2016. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 9, 1952, son of the late Dorothy Jean (Tharpe) Kuhn and Bernard Kuhn. Survivors include wife, Shere; son, Jeff (Christy) Phelps; brother, David (Crystal) Kuhn; nephews, Cordel and Nickolas; niece, Lynzee; granddaughter, Skylar; and an aunt and uncle that reside in Florida.
Bob served in the Army and then later in the National Guard. He worked for the state of Indiana as a computer tech. He was very active in bowling and golf. He loved his Karaoke and truly loved to sing. Bob started to decline after being diagnosed with COPD and emphysema. He had a long battle with this and was also diagnosed with diabetes.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Bethel Friends Church, 10492 N. Bethel Church Road, Mooresville, IN 46158. Officiating the service will be Pastor Dennis Peyton.
Arrangements are being handled by Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Royster-Askin-Sandrock Chapel, 2310 W. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN.
