Survivors include daughters, Melinda (Jim) Burge, Bobbie (Chuck) Watkins, Leona Monroe; sister, Susan; half-sister, Judith; brothers, David, James (Dorothy); 8 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by wife, Martha "Jane" Monroe; parents, William & Willa Mae Monroe (Bohanan); brother, Billy.

Bob was a member of The Baptist Church. He was a mechanic at IndyGo for 40 years before retirement. He had many accomplishments and awards throughout his career.

Bob loved fishing, hunting, cycling and bowling.

Service will be on July 12, 2024 at 1:00pm at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Royster-Askin-Sandrock, 2310 W Washington St. Indianapolis, IN 46222 with visitation from 11:00am until the time of service at the mortuary. Officiating will be Reverend Danny Thomas. Burial will be at Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
