Robert Hayes Miller, Jr.

Robert Hayes Miller, Jr. , 82, of Franklin, Indiana, passed away January 26, 2017. He was born November 6, 1934 in New Albany, Indiana. Bob grew up in Georgetown, Indiana (Floyd County) and attended Indiana State University from 1952-1956 where he was a Charter Member of the fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon. He married his college sweetheart, Norietta in 1956. They celebrated 60 years of marriage in December 2016. Bob and Norietta had 5 children and 12 grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Norietta; children, Rev. Dr. Robert Bradley (Debbie) Miller, Barcia Miller (José) Alejos , Balynda Dee (Howard) Holtzclaw, Barrie Lindsay (Dana) Hooton, and Benjamin David Miller.

Bob began the first 15 years of his professional life in the education field. In 1974, Bob began his passion in Christian Ministry. He served in parish ministry with the United Methodist Church until 1998. He and Norietta continued their evangelical ministry by leading Agape Ministries until 2016.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Mt. Comfort United Methodist Church, 3179 N. 600 W., Greenfield, IN 46140. A Gathering will be from 10:00 until the time of service at the church. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Robert Bradley Miller. Graveside services will be at 1:00pm on January 28, 2017 at Edwardsville Cemetery in Edwardsville, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, make contributions to Mt. Comfort United Methodist Church Mission Fund.
