Richard Marshall Hunter

Richard Marshall Hunter, 75, of New Palestine, IN passed away November 8, 2020. He was born in Beech Grove, IN, a son of the late Charlotte V. (Grogg) and Robert V. Hunter. Survivors include his wife, Diane Hunter; sons, Mike (Wendy) Hunter, Doug (Amy) Hunter; sister-in-law, Gerri Hunter; nephews, Denny Hunter, Steve Hunter; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, M.T. and Zela Hunter; brothers, Denny Hunter, Robert Hunter; niece, Pam Hunter.

Richard served in the United States Marine Corp. He also enjoyed racing. Richard was well known for his grumpy demeanor and sharp wit. He lived a full life on his terms. He was awarded with a loving family and friends, and "a few enemies." He was an acquired taste.

Masks are required for visitation and service.

Services will be held Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel, 1444 West US Hwy 52, Fountaintown, IN 46130. Visitation will be Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the mortuary. Officiating will be Pastor Tommy Hensley.
