Patricia “Pat” Dodd, Adams,88, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026, in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on November 23, 1937, in Indianapolis, IN.
Pat approached life with a spirit filled with joy and enthusiasm for simple pleasures. Pat loved dancing, playing cards and bingo, tackling puzzles and word searches, and cooking for those she loved. She was also a passionate collector of Chucky memorabilia, a unique interest that brought her much delight. Socializing came naturally to her; Pat was cherished for her ability to connect easily with others and to form bonds that lasted a lifetime.
Pat’s most profound legacy, however, is found in her dedication as a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children: Michael (Patricia) Dodd, Sharon (Sylvester) Garrett, Sandra (Darryl Quattrocchi) Dodd, Lisa Dodd, and Audrey Dodd. She leaves behind a family who will remember her for the nurturing guidance, compassion, and unwavering love she provided throughout their lives.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Theodore Dodd and Fred Gardner; her parents, Herchel and Josephine Adams; her sons, Ronald Dodd and Franklin Dodd; and her daughters, Dollie Dodd and Barbara (William) Land. The memory of her devotion, strength, and joyful presence remains a source of comfort to those who mourn her passing.
Visitation will be July 8, 2026, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Royster-Askin-Sandrock, 2310 W Washington St, Indianapolis, IN. Funeral services will be on July 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Royster-Askin-Sandrock. Burial will be at Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN
Patricia “Pat” Dodd’s life was a testament to hard work, enduring love, and a joy for life’s every moment. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
