Patricia M. Clark Maynard, 72, of Indianapolis passed away Monday, February 7th, 2011 with her loving family and friends at her bedside. Patricia cherished life to the fullest and gave courage and strength to those that knew her in sickness and in health. Her humor, wit and the ability to bring the written word to life will always bring a smile to those that knew her. Determination was her stronghold throughout life and she instilled that determination in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Patricia loved with all her heart and in turn was loved with all our hearts. Patricia was preceded in death by her mother, Vernetta Timms, her father, Paul Clark, her brother Donald Clark and our father Dale Maynard. Logan Blue, her beloved Siberian Husky preceded her in death earlier this year as well. She is survived by her sister Brenda Gary Lawson, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Patricia is also survived by her dear friend and high school prom date; Jim Vash and his family; her close friends Sue and Bill Kinman, Rita Bowlin and Margreet Ellis as well as many dear friends. Also surviving is her 4 children; Terry Pam, Linda Jeff, Jon Teresa, and Susan Brad. Patricia's grandchildren were the light of her life and include; Kimberly, Johnny, Matthew, Jenny Joey, Sara Derek, Christopher Samantha, Michael, Cody Michelle, Daniel and Abigail. Patricia was known as Grammy G to 10 great grandchildren too. Patricia was an entrepreneur and accomplished businesswomen. She graduated from Bruceville High School and went on to attend Marian College while raising her family. She obtained a BA in Sociology with an additional concentration in Theatre. She loved to travel, write, read, sew and cook. She enjoyed the peace and solitude of walking in the park and was a lifelong member of the Eagle Creek Park Foundation. Cremation will be followed by a graveside service at the Asbury Cemetery in Knox County in the spring.
