Ova Elizabeth West, 87 , went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 1, 2012. She spent her last days in Avon, IN with her nieces Sandy, Taylor, and caretaker/granddaughter Deana Moore-Hummel and her husband Brad Hummel. Born in Thompkinsville, KY., she was the daughter of Robert “Toddy” and Binie Moore.
Surviving are her sister Susie Moreland; daughter Emma Hauk; two sons- Frank and James West; five grandchildren- Susie, David, Richard, Robert, Bradley and multiple great grandchildren.
This great woman of worth spent her time on Earth either raising or mentoring others. If “it takes a village to raise a child”, she is the woman one would want as the village leader. She…Mom, Nana, Grandma and Aunt Ova is sorely missed and Heaven is a brighter place for allowing her entrance. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Debbie, Lakia and other direct care staff at Southern Care Hospice for their care of Ova and the comfort they extended to the family.
