Ora H. Harris Linkous
June 3, 1917 — February 6, 2010
Ora "Granny" H. Linkous, 92 of New Palestine, IN went to her heavenly home Feb. 6, 2010 to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born on June 3, 1917, to Silvester and MaryNelson Harris of Alum Ridge, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mason Linkous, son Leroy Linkous, sister, Sylvia Harris and brothers, Guy and Howard Harris. She is survived by son Jerry Marlene Linkous of Greenfield, and sister Veldia Rivera of California and many nieces and nephews. Granny had 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. Kyle, Zoe, Kayla and Braylon are the great-great grandchildren and 5th generation. Granny loved and cherished her family and friends. She worked at Stone's Cafeteria in Christiansburg, VA for 46 years. She was a member of Unity in Christ Church, Fountaintown, IN. She loved to read, gardening and sharing stories with everyone. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Unity in Christ Food Pantry or to the Youth group for church camp.
