Nancy (Copas) Jones

Nancy Jones , 93, passed away July 15, 2025 in Greenfield, Indiana. She was born April 20, 1932 in Earl Park Indiana to her parents Thomas and Retha Copas. She moved to Indianapolis in her youth. As a teenager, she went to work at Holiday Steel. In March of 1954, she married the love of her life, Dr Gordon C Jones. Their loving marriage endured until Gordon's passing in 2017.

Nancy was a long-term member of Heather Hills/Maple Creek Country Club. She absolutely loved playing golf, and the Club provided a wealth of cherished memories and long-standing friendships. Her family was a source of great joy for her. She loved hosting family gatherings through the years, and she was thrilled to see her family grow with eventual grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to keep up with her grandchildren's activities and achievements. Her biggest smiles were often seen when she was spending time with her family and longtime friends.

She is survived by her sons Thomas Jones (Jay) of Wyoming, James Jones of Indianapolis, and Dr Mark Jones (Kim) of Fountaintown. Her Grandaughters: Jennifer McGraw and Elise Craycraft of Wyoming, Melanney Williams of Indianapolis, and Carly Flannagan of Fountaintown. Her Grandsons: Connor Jones and Samuel Jones of Indianapolis, and Ryan Lawver-Jones and Kyle Lawver- Jones of Fairland, and 11 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon and her sister, Barbara Long.

The family would like to thank Springhurst Health in Greenfield Indiana and Heart to Heart Hospice for the excellent care of Nancy.

There will not be formal services.
