Mohinder Kaur

Mohinder Kaur , 90, of Plainfield, Indiana passed away on January 9, 2025. She was born on April 15, 1934 in Punjab, India.

She is survived by her sons, Surjit Singh Lehal and Avtar Singh Lehal; her daughter, Amarjit Kaur Bajwa; her twin sister Surjeet Kaur; her brothers, Malkit Singh Gill and Tarsem Singh Gill; and her 9 loving grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rattan Singh; her parents, Inder Singh and Bant Kaur; her sons, Gurjit Singh Lehal and Onkar Singh Lehal; her loving sons and her daughter; and her loving grandchild.

Mohinder was more than a mother, grandmother, daughter, or sister. She was the strength this family relied on. She brought smiles where she went, filling the room with happiness. Not a wrinkle in her clothes or a hair out of place, she always carried herself with such elegance. She portrayed what kindness and love for all really meant. For anyone who had known her, knew truly what a strong woman she was, even within her last few moments. She fought hard in this life and has overcome so many unexpected battles until ultimately it was time to say goodbye. She has left a void in all our hearts, but she will never be replaced and will forever be cherished through her memories.

Shared sentiments from her adoring grandchildren: She was the best grandmother ever. She always lit up the room and had a lasting and kind impression on anyone she met. Her love language was making sure everyone else was taken care of putting their needs before her own.

Service will be on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 2:00pm at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Royster-Askin-Sandrock, 2310 W Washington St. Indianapolis, IN 46222 with visitation from 12:00pm until the time of service at the mortuary.
