Marvin L. Newland, 86, formerly of Spencer and Indianapolis, IN. Passed away on June 5, 2024 in Sebastion, FL. He was born on February 15, 1938 in Indianapolis, IN.

Survivors include, daughter, Kimberly Newland; sons, David (Cathy) Simpson & Kevin Newland; sister, Darlene Newland Brunner; brothers, Tony (Gregorio) Newland; sister-In-law, Connie Newland & Kandi Newland; 4 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews & cousins. Formal spouse, Dixie Newland (mother of his children)

Preceded in death by wife, Susan M. Newland, parents, Lawrence & Leota (Bo) Newland; brothers, Bill, Denny, Myron & Scott; Brother- in- law, David Brunner; sister- in- law, Patsy Newland.

Marvin served in the U.S. Airforce. He was a graduate of Manuel High School in Indianapolis, IN. Marvin retired from Allison Transmission. Awards he had earned were the 40 plus years of sobriety and 32nd degree Freemason. His memberships include the VFW, American Legion, Scottish Rite and Free Masons. Marvin enjoyed fishing, wood working & gardening.

Service will be August 22, 2024 at 11:00am at Great Oak Church, 6341 Mann Rd, Indianapolis, IN with visitation from 10:00am until the time of service. Officiating will be Pastor John Dunaway. Burial will be at Floral Park Cemetery.
