Martha Jane Monroe , 68, Indianapolis, IN passed away June 9, 2023 in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on January 27, 1955 in Brownsville, KY.
She is survived by husband, Robert (Bob) Monroe; daughters, Melinda (Jim) Burge, Bobbie (Chuck) Watkins & Leona Monroe; sister Geraldine Gay; Grandchildren, Adam, Charlie, Emily, Sebastian, Austin, Devon, Steven and Alyssa; 6 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by parents, Blossie & Mamie Whobrey; Brother, Fred Whobrey; Sisters, Sue Abney, Lou Knox, Oberta Combs.
Martha was a member of The Baptist Church and worked for Pike Township Schools.
Service will be Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 1:00PM at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Royster-Askin-Sandrock, 2310 W Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46222 with visitation from 11:00AM until the time of service at the mortuary. Officiating the service will be Pastor Danny Thomas. Burial will be at Floral Park Cemetery.
