Mark Trail

Mark Trail , 56, of Lafayette, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 in his residence with his family there. He was born September 26, 1959 in Hazard, KY to the late Frank and Adrian Trail, and was raised in Kingston, TN. At age 17, Mark joined the Air Force. After serving he lived in Colorado before settling in Lafayette.  On May 2, 1990, he married Deidre Foltz.

Mark was an over the road truck driver for 25 years. He spent much of his windshield time listening to talk radio and classic rock, and his down time in the pages of a book or plugged into TV Land. Mark enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time in his garden, camping and playing fetch with his best four legged friend, Levin. He watched Nascar, the Cubs, and Denver Broncos. He embraced his Indian heritage, and all things Tennessee.

He is survived by his brother and best friend Eddie Trail, brothers Eric and Michael (Sandy) Trail, sister Mary Lou (Jimmy) Dial of Tennessee, his children Kylie Trail, Dustin (Hannah) Foltz, and Danica Payne of Lafayette, and Dusty (Tawnya), Nikki and Cody Trail of Co.Springs, and 6 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by sister Judy, brother Joe and daughter Adrian.

A Memorial Service will be held at Crestview Community Church on 1400 Ortman Lane, Lafayette, IN, on April 9th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can made to The American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are being handled by Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Royster-Askin-Sandrock Chapel, 2310 W. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN.
