Margaret Ann (Hendricks) Smith

September 16, 1928 — September 11, 2012

September 11, 2012 Margaret Ann Smith, 83 of Indianapolis,  left behind many people who loved her dearly.
Although there were many sad that day one thing held true, she lived a full life. She
dedicated much of her time to the church and the people in it. Church was her family
and she loved everyone very much.
She loved cards and board games, often times giving her grandchildren a lesson in
losing gracefully. She never took it easy, but she taught us to play harder. Her love for
life was ever present. She was never shy about teasing or giving someone a hard time,
but even then it was only out of love.
The day she left was hard, but I know she would not want us to think about her leaving
as a loss. She would want us to celebrate her life and rejoice her arrival in Heaven. She
always knew this life was nothing compared to what she'd experience after she passed.
So today, we ask that you take the time to remember her and smile. She will live in our
hearts forever.

Margaret is proceeded in death by parents, William D. and Mary M. (Riley) Hendricks; husband, Robert Smith; son, David Smith; brother, Bill Hendricks and brother-in-law,  Bill Riggs.

She is survived by son, Ron(Brenda) Smith; daughters, Linda Westbrook and Lori Bell; daughter-in-law, Pat Smith; sister, Mary Riggs; brother, Barney Hendricks; grandchildren, Ron Smith, Lisa Pittser, Michael Bell, Todd Westbrook and Angie Smith Cooney and nine great-grandchildren.

Burial will follow service in Washington Park East, Indianapolis, IN
