Lowell (Les) E. Spencer III , 68, of Plainfield, IN, passed away, Saturday, May 31st, at his residence.
He was born in Shelbyville, IN on June 24, 1945, a son of Lowell E. Spencer, Jr. and the late Betty (Hauk) Spencer.
He Retired after 40yrs as a Sr. Supervisor for Allison Tranmission.
He was a master of wood working. He also was a car enthusiast and a big sport fan and liked to play softball.
Was a long time member of the VFW # 1587,American Legion # 102, Morristown, IN
Survived by wife; Cathy A. (Philpot) Spencer, daughter; Shelley (Ronald) Spencer-Hellmich, of Indianapolis,
son; Craig (Brook) Spencer, of Plainfield,IN; brother; Lanta (L.V.) (Susan) Spencer, of Houston,TX, brother in law; Allen,Gary,and Paul, Grandchildren; Jordan and Jace, niece; Sarah, newphews; Lanny,Scott,Matt,and Todd, Uncles; Tom & John, Proceeded in death brother; Charles (Chuck) Spencer, father in law; Clarence Philpot
Services at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel at 1:30 pm on Thursday, June 5th, with Chaplain Ben Keckler officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday June 4th, from 4-8 pm at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel
Burial in Asbury Cemetery, Morristown, IN.
