On May 25 our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed peacefully surrounded by his family.
Leonard Eugene Goodman (Gene) was born on March 9, 1947, to Leonard A. and Agnes (Hathaway) Goodman in Lafayette, Indiana. Gene was the 5th of 6 children.
On March 13, 1976, Gene married Deborah (Nidiffer) who survives. Gene was a skilled butcher for over 40 years, owning and operating the Kokomo Butcher Block for 26 years until retiring in 2004.
Gene was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan. He loved to cook, especially his famous bar-b-q ribs. He enjoyed playing euchre and spending time with his family. Gene had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh, many laughs resulting from shenanigans with one of his rubber chickens.
Gene is survived by his wife of 50 years Debby, daughter Jennifer (Greg) Ault, sons Jim (Sheila) Bacon, Dennis (Kara) Goodman, grandsons Zachary Ault, Austin (Brittany) Ault, Mike (Courtney) Bacon, Evan and Alex Goodman, great grandson Easton Ault and great granddaughter Berkley Ault.
Gene was also an adored uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Gene was preceded in death by 2 sisters, 2 brothers and both his parents.
