We would love to have you with us as we honor and celebrate the memory of our sweet baby girl!

We wished for a baby but God gave us an angel instead! Our precious baby Leighton Elizabeth Gard was called to heaven Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 5:04 PM.

Leighton was a beautiful baby with lots of dark hair and the cutest button nose! She was a very petite little girl who weighed 2 lbs 11 ounces and 14 inches long! We take comfort in knowing Leighton is now watching over us from heaven!

Please feel free to talk to us about Leighton, who we wish to remember as the child we prayed for and loved so dearly and not a secret to be kept quiet! She is with Jesus and we celebrate and are comforted by that truth! We know our hearts will take time to heal and we appreciate your care and support in our grief.

Leighton is survived by her loving parents, Lauren and Justin Gard, her grandparents Gregg and Betsy Greene, and Scott and Tammy Gard, her great-grandparents Bob Kampf and Charles and Linda Greene, And Bob and Betty Stoops her aunts and uncles Alyssa and Ben Holliday, and Jeremy and Tiffany Gard, first cousin Vincent Gard and several other cousins and friends. Holding and rocking her in heaven are her great grandparents Anne Kampf, Darlene Gard, and Gary Gard.

Leighton had a blessing service on the day she was born. A graveside service will be held at New Palestine Cemetery, 5055 S 500 W, New Palestine, IN on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Friends and family are invited to attend both the graveside and a celebration cook out at Lauren and Justin’s afterwards.
