Larry Scott

Larry Scott, 88 , passed away January 5, 2018 following a short illness.  Beloved Husband to Diane Hays Scott, his wife for 68 years, who survives him.  He is also survived by a daughter, Ann E. Deranleau, and grandchildren Michael P. Schneider and Lauren H. Scott. He was predeceased by his parents, Leon and Flossom Scott; a brother, Thomas G. Scott; and his son, Daniel E. Scott.  Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Larry’s family moved to Indianapolis and he graduated from Howe High School in 1948.  Following his marriage to Diane, he proudly served in the United States Army in Frankfurt, Germany. In the late 1960’s. Larry and Diane relocated to Deerfield, Illinois where Larry was the national sales manager for Air King.  He later started Rep Lines, Inc. where he was a manufacturer’s representative for a number of years. Larry and Diane joined a theater group in Deerfield where they met lifelong friends, and had some of the best times of their lives.  They also resided in Pinehurst, North Carolina for twenty years before retiring to Greenwood.  Larry loved watching sports on television, especially golf, and fortunately, he was able to see his beloved Chicago Cubs win the World Series. He was the funniest man in the room and had a heart of gold always having  kind words to say about everyone.  He was loved by all who were fortunate enough to meet him, and will be missed by all.  May he rest in peace.
