Larry Wayne Lee,70, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 23, 2026 unexpectedly after doing what he loved, playing a round of golf. Born on June 16, 1956, in Indianapolis, Larry spent a life deeply rooted in faith, family, and community.

Larry devoted his career to serving others as a Network Director at AT&T and Eli Lilly, leaving behind a legacy of integrity and innovation that touched many colleagues. He carried with him not only an associate’s degree but a passion for lifelong learning, always seeking to expand his understanding in both professional and personal pursuits.

Much of Larry’s life was shaped by his unwavering faith. He was dedicated to studying the word of God, diligently engaging with his Bible and online Bible ministry courses. With each lesson, he strove to live a life that reflected his commitment to laying treasures in Heaven, seeking every opportunity to witness and share his faith with those around him. In addition to his faith, he found much joy in looking forward to seeing his daughter get married this November.

Larry cherished his family above all else and delighted in the simple joys of togetherness. He was a devoted husband to Theresa Ann Lee for 38 years—a partnership marked by enduring love and respect. Larry took immense pride in his growing family and enjoyed every moment spent with his children: Jeremy Ryan Lee and his wife Katie, Joshua Ryan Lee and his wife Briana, and Lauren Michelle Lee and her fiance Scott. He was a loving grandfather to Isabella, Jaydon, Jackson, Noah, Houston and Olivia and great grandfather to his great grandson, Archer. He also found joy in the companionship of his dog Festus, whose daily walks in the park brought Larry much happiness and peace.

He was a loving brother to Yvonne Lindeman and brother-in-law to John Lindeman and maintained close ties with his extended family, always cherishing the bonds that connected them.

A man of diverse interests and boundless curiosity, Larry embraced a wide array of hobbies. From golf, pickleball, racquetball, wood working and fishing to e-biking and exploring old and new technology, Larry approached life with enthusiasm. An avid genealogist, he reveled in uncovering family histories. Creativity flourished in his love for canvas painting and, especially, in his music. Larry was a talented musician, having played multiple instruments—including guitar, piano, and organ—and loved to sing before his stroke. His arranger piano and organ keyboards became avenues for both the creation and sharing of beautiful music. He was known to love nature especially gardening, tending to his rose bushes and bird watching.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Huston and Juanita Lee. Their values and love for family continued to guide him throughout his life.

A private graveside service, officiated by Pastor Roger Penny, will be held at New Palestine Cemetery on June 26, 2026. Jerry Hillenburg will officiate a Celebration of Life service at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember Larry’s enduring spirit and the life he lived so fully.

Larry Wayne Lee’s legacy lives on in those he loved and inspired. He will be remembered for his devotion to faith, family, and friendship—a life marked by kindness, curiosity, and steadfast love for all who knew him.
