Larry DellaRocco, a beloved husband, devoted father, grandfather, uncle and cherished friend passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, at the age of 88 in Indianapolis, IN after a short battle with cancer.
Larry DellaRocco was born on November 25, 1937 in Hammond, IN, to Lewis DellaRocco and Inez O'drobinak. Larry graduated from Clark High School in 1956. He later answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Army, where he served honorably from February 1958 until February 1961. He later went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Instrumentation from Purdue University. Larry spent most of his career as an Instrument and Control Technician/Engineer, and was an active member of the Instrument Society of America throughout his career. He received an award for Instrument Society of America Outstanding Section President. Larry worked in many industries including the building of the Alaskan Pipeline, as well as working at multiple nuclear power plants throughout the country.
Larry married Clementine (Tina) Pocci on December 14, 1963 in East Chicago, IN. They had 3 sons, Larry L. (Maryann) DellaRocco, James (Susan) DellaRocco and Frank (Julia) DellaRocco. They were blessed with 10 grandchildren: Matthew, Ashley (Sweetpea), Michael, Nico, Lorenzo, Isaac, Stella, Xavier, Oliver and Noelle. He is also remembered fondly by many extended family members and dear friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis DellaRocco and Inez O'drobinak, and his sister Marlene Moses.
Larry’s favorite activity was spending time with his family and friends. He also liked traveling, especially to the mountains, Alaska and Italy. When he could no longer travel, he and Tina enjoyed visiting the casinos.
Larry will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
A Graveside Service to honor Larry's life will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Crown Hill National Cemetery-Columbarium Annex, 725 W. 42nd Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46208. Pastor Tom Macy will say a prayer and officiate a short service.

Arrangements have been handled by Bell Mortuary & Crematory-Royster-Askin-Sandrock Chapel, 2310 W. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana.
