Larry L. Cox, 77 of Fountaintown, passed away at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, on Monday, September 23, 2013. He was born June 5, 1936, in Fountaintown , IN son of John R. and Evelyn (Laufer) Cox. He worked for the United States Post Office in Indianapolis for 30 years, farmed , was a real estate broker and fireman at Fountaintown Community Volunteer Fire Dept. Larry was a member of the FFA and won the Shelby County DeKalb Award in 1954.
Surviving him is his loving wife, Charlotte L. (Morgan) Cox; children, Kyle B. Cox, of Fountaintown and Teresa K. Cox, of Greenfield; sisters, Judy (David) Mohr, of Fairland and Janet Cox, of Shelbyville; brothers , Lynn (Loretta) Cox, of Waldron, Dennis (Brenda) Cox, of Newark, OH, Richard (Karen) Cox, of Fountaintown and Ronnie (Ina) Cox, of Fairland; four grandchildren, Lauren, Anthony, Brandon and Christopher; three great grandchildren, James, Aden and Rowan.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Fountaintown United Methodist Church , with service at 3:00 pm with Pastor Gwen Pew officiating.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the Fountaintown United Methodist Church or to any Food Bank of your choice.
