Krystyna Hutnik

Krystyna Hutnik, age 80, of Noblesville, Indiana passed away peacefully at home on May 1, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was lovingly helped to cross over by her grandson, Coby Wood, who remained faithfully by her side. 

Krystyna, more commonly known as Dody, was born in Schweinfurt, Germany on February 27, 1946 to the late Nikolaj and Anna Prikaszczikow. She graduated Warren Central High School in 1964.  She started a career at Indiana Bell as an Information Telephone Operator and she remained a dedicated employee until her retirement.  

Krystyna married Jan Hutnik on July 3, 1976 in Poland.  They made a home in the Irvington area of Indianapolis, Indiana.  They had two daughters, Agnieszka and Nikol. 

Krystyna went on to raise her children as a single mother in Greenfield, Indiana and that is where she lived the majority of her life.  She was fiercely proud of her independence and was stubborn and strong-willed.  

"Dody" was an avid reader and had an extensive library.  She loved True Crime, Historical, Romance, Sci-Fi and all of the Classics.  She was a movie buff and immensely proud of her DVD collection.  Dody loved mowing her lawn, watching her favorite TV shows, trying new recipes, puzzles, cooking, Chinese food and a good game of cards.  

She is survived by her daughters Agnieszka (Clayton) Mardis and Nikol Hutnik.  She is also survived by her much loved grandchildren Amber, Savanna, Colten, Laila, Coby, Ashton and Hanna and two great grandchildren, Ezequiel and Gemma.
