Judy Crisman of Shelbyville, IN, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Friday, December 6, 2019.  She was born on September 18, 1938 in Shelbyville to Russell and Ida Fern (Mason) Small.  Judy was a 1956 graduate of Shelbyville High School. On June 19, 1960, Judy married Delbert Crisman, who preceded her in death.

Judy was a longtime resident and farmer in Rush County.  She and her husband were sextons of the Arlington East Hill Cemetery from 1988 until Delbert’s death in 2018.  Judy also drove a school bus for Rush County Schools for a number or years. Judy was a longtime member of the Homer Christian Union Church in Homer, IN.  She served the church in many ways as Trustee, Elder, Song Leader, Sunday School Teacher, and many other positions.  Her love of Christ was evident in all she did.

Judy had many interests, but none greater than her family.  She is survived by her son Daniel (Mary Ann) Crisman of Fountaintown, and her two favorite grandsons, Dawson and Mason; and sister, Carolyn Bowers of Shelbyville. She loved to travel, read, garden and watch IU Basketball.

Services will be handled by Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel, 1444 West US Hwy 52, Fountaintown, IN 46130. Visitation will be Saturday, December 14, 2019, from 1:00 – 3:00PM. Funeral will be immediately after visitation. A small graveside internment ceremony will follow the funeral at Arlington East Hill Cemetery, Arlington, IN.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mt. Comfort Church or Homer Christian Union Church.
