Joseph W. Alvey Sr. , 77 of Indianapolis, passed away July 19, 2013. He was born on Nov. 24, 1935 in St. Francis, KY son of Thomas B. and Ruby Margaret (Dant) Alvey. He retired from Renners Express (Teamsters 135). He is proceeded in death by his father, son, Leslie and brother, Garland. He is survived by his wife, Patsy (Patrick) Alvey; mother, Margaret Alvey; sons, Joseph Jr., Donald and James Alvey; daughters, Cindy Leonard and Annette Prather; sisters, Joyce, Ina, Peggy, Marilyn and Debbie; brothers, John, Randy, Terry and Tony Alvey; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held on July 26, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes, 5333 E. Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46219 at 11:00am.
