John W. Poore

John W. Poore, age 61, owner of Pooreboy Construction Inc. of Indianapolis, Indiana, died Thursday, February 6th, 2020 in Indianapolis, Indiana from complications of Diffuse B Cell Lymphoma.

John was born on June 5th, 1958 to John L. Poore and Thelma D. Poore (Howell), and was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana where he attended Warren Central High School. He Married Cindy Poore (Abell) in 1982. Over the next four years, the couple welcomed two children into their home, their sons, Joshua and Nathan. His children remember him as an intelligent, honest, compassionate, generous, hard working Father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

John was an accomplished woodworker, who loved to travel and explore the world. He loved the outdoors, good food, and spending time with friends and family. He was known for his drive and determination, generosity, excellent problem solving skills, woodworking, cooking and in general his love for life.

John is survived by his two sons, Joshua and Nathan Poore, his two brothers, Jack and Robert Poore, and his sister, Karen Bischoff (Poore). He was preceded in death by his Father, John L. Poore, and his Mother, Thelma D. Poore (Howell).

Service will be at 1:00pm at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel, 1444 West US Hwy 52, Fountaintown, Indiana, 46130 with a visitation from 11:00am until time of service.   Burial will be at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana.
