John Henry Ortel , 78, passed away December 23, 2016 in Greenfield, Indiana. He was born in New Palestine, Indiana on May 25, 1938 to George and Selma (Noelting) Ortel.
John was a farmer in the Hancock County Community for his lifetime occupation. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
John was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marvin Ortel and sister Helen Roler.
Visitation will be Monday, January 2, 2017, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Zion Lutheran Church, New Palestine, Indiana.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at 11:00am with visitation from 10:00am until time of service at the Church, 6513 W 300 S, New Palestine, IN.
Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, New Palestine, Indiana.
