Jerry Allen Easter

Jerry Allen Easter, 65, of Fairland, IN passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012.  He was born on September 28, 1947 to the late Joe Otis and Jessie Mildred (Burgess) Easter in Indianapolis, IN.  Jerry graduated from Howe High School in 1965 and later went to The Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy in Glynco, GA.  He was retired from the US Federal Government as the United States Federal Protective Service’s District Director.  He served in the United States Army Security Agency as Staff Sergeant in Asmara, Ethiopia.  He received several awards, Federal Employee of the Year in 1993 and many other Accommodations awarded by GSA Administrators, the Secretary of Defense, House Ways & Means Committee and Federal Law Enforcement.  Jerry was an Associate Pastor at the House of Prayer in Indianapolis and had previously served as Board of Director of Indiana Emmaus Community and HOOP Indiana Food Bank.  Jerry enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with his grandsons.  He loved the Lord and he loved his Family.  Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Betty Jo Bartlett.  He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie K. Easter; daughters, Kelly J. Easter, Shawnae J. Davis and Sharon L. Colgan;  son-in-laws, Jeremy D. Davis and Robert L. Rusher; sisters, Carol Ann Coffee and Janet L. Britt; grandchildren; Easton G. Davis, Micah J. Davis and Alyssa M. Colgan and cousin; Sandra Pickard.
