James "Rocky" Christopher White

James "Rocky"  Christopher White, born July 29, 1960, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

James was a hardworking, outspoken man full of spirit who loved his family and his work. For 25 years, he worked with Madden Furniture and Shelby Upholstery, taking pride in redoing and restoring furniture and in the friendships he made along the way.  James was formerly married to Bonnie White (Rilenge).  Anyone who knew James knew about his love of karaoke nights and the stories that came from them. He was enthusiastic and full of personality. He never hesitated to speak his mind. He always brought his own unique energy wherever he went.  A die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, James proudly supported his team and was always ready to share his passion for football.  

James leaves behind his son, Christopher White; daughters, Holly White, Wendy White, and Sarah White; sister, Tina Raney; brother, Michael White; and four grandchildren.  

James was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Etta Mae Bigelow, and his sister, Lisa Marie Decker.

The family will honor James's life with a private celebration of life.  James will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His strong spirit, stories, laughter, and the memories he created with those he loved will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
