James "Jimmy" Joseph Cassella

James "Jimmy" Cassella, 86, of Indianapolis passed away June 4, 2011. Jimmy is survived by his brother; Frank, daughters; Patty and Angela, grandsons; Jonathan, Jeremy, Brandon and Jared, granddaughters; Kim and Lindsey and two sons. James was born on November 29, 1924 in Waterford, New York to Lorenzo and Anna Parisi Cassella. Jimmy lived a colorful and interesting life. He served in the army as a Ranger in WWII. He was discharged after being wounded. Jimmy was also part of the early years of television, as the sports director for Dumont Television. In 1957 he met and married Rae, his wife of 52 years. Jimmy began working for Delta Airlines in New Orleans. Jimmy and Rae moved to Las Vegas and he continued working for Delta, sometimes in the company of famous people like Anne Margaret and the "Rat Pack" as customer service supervisor until he retired in the early 1980's. Jimmy loved his family and loved his faith. He was active as on of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years and loved talking to people about the Bible. A beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, He will be missed.
