Jacqueline Laverne (Walker) Reading

Jacqueline L. (Jackie) Reading, 80,  passed away peacefully on Dec 3rd at her residence, surrounded by her family. Jackie was born on Oct 5, 1931 in Danville, IL to Charles Russel and Hazel Walker.  She was the wife of the late Rev. Floyd Reading who pastored Faith Apostolic Church from 1963 - 1999.  A homemaker and loving mother, she was survived by her children: Cynthia (Gene) Medlin of Greenfield; Linda Reading and Rebecca Reading of Tampa FL; Lisa Reading-Taylor of Greenfield; and son Rev. John (Chris) Reading of Greenfield.  She was also survived by her sister Ruth (Chet) Long of Palmetto FL,  Brothers: Robert (Jean) and Donald (Joanne) Walker of Muncie IN.  Granddaughters: Erica Medlin-Manuel of Indianapolis, Elaine, Jacqueline and Rebekah Taylor of Greenfield.  Grandsons: Isaac, Clark, Jonathan Reading of Greenfield, Daniel Reading of Tampa FL and three great grandchildren; Victoria, Brody and Carolina Manuel.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Frances Gignacic, and brothers: Russel and William Walker.

Services will be held at Faith Apostolic Church, 70 Tyler Ave in Greenfield on Tuesday Dec 6th.  Calling will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. with the service immediately following. Burial will be on Wed Dec 7th, at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Faith Apostolic Church - Elevator Fund, P.O. Box 126 Greenfield, IN  46140.
